The extent of my baking back in the day was during Sunday dinners which are still my family's best moments together. I only had a Bundt pan and I would bake a Duncan Hines cake, then drizzle milk chocolate on top. It was a hit every time!
About 10 years in 2010 my daughter asked me if I would bake cupcakes with her. She said it would be like old times, "just us two mom"! OK so, let me explain "just the two of us." While raising my children each one got a day every month with just mom. Each got to choose their activity for the day, whether it was the park, movies, ice cream, skating, etc and we had a blast without their siblings. So, when my daughter asked me to bake with her, this melted my heart & I was glad to join her.
She was inspired by a Cake Boss episode. They were simply baking & decorating cupcakes. Later that week we made a run to Michael’s craft store and purchased one cupcake pan and liners. And this is how it all began. We found ourselves side by side in the kitchen for 10 years. We took our baked goods to work, gave samples out and got back great feedback. It wasn't until that day came and someone asked if they could place an order for a cake! This is when our mindset shifted to take this a little more seriously.

Since then, my passion has grown over the years for baking and decorating cakes. There is joy and excitement for every cake I make nowadays.
